Valentine Candy Out!

I have the Valentine's candy "Talking Hearts" out in all my stores in SL.

You know those chalky little hearts with stuff printed on them that you can get in Real Life? Well, now you can have them in Second Life, too!

Picture of the Candy Box, with images of the candy itself behind it.

They come in little square boxes that have an animation so you can hold them in your left hand. If you touch the box, it gives you a random piece of candy from a pool of 24 pieces. If you find the candy in your Inventory and Wear it, you will hold it up in your right hand for a moment and look at it. While you do that, the candy reads itself in open chat, so everyone can enjoy the saying on it. Then you pop it into your mouth, and the candy disappears.

You can only eat a single piece one time, so you may as well delete it after you've eaten it. But you can always take another. There's an unlimited supply of them in the box!

There are also special boxes for your Lover, Mother, Father, Sister or Brother, with six special sayings just for them!

I'm afraid that only the owner can take candy, because of the limitations of the Permissions System in Second Life. But at only L$100 a box, you can afford to get your friends their own! On sale now, at all Kick the Can stores, and at Robin (Sojourner) Wood's AV Store

At long last, my musical box!

I often have projects I want to do, but find myself thwarted by limitations. Sometimes I lack the scripting ability, while other times it's limitations with Second Life. It can even be a lack of tools, something I deal with nowadays with sculpted prims. These projects will often sit, waiting for their time. This is one such project.

Music Box

Introducing my ballerina music box! When touched, it's lid opens, and a little ballerina twirls to the music, just like a music box should! Transferrable, so it's a perfect gift for Second Life's little girls.

Available in Livingtree and in all "You Know, For Kids!" locations grid-wide.

Yet more projects are coming down the pipeline, including more goodies I've wanted to create for a while. :-)

New Flannel Shirts at Robin (Sojourner) Wood's AV Store

Hi Everyone!

I just put out half a dozen new flannel shirts at the AV store.

Vendor image of one of the Valentine Plaid shirts

Four of them are Tartan Plaids (Buchanan, Clergy, Culloden, and Logan)and the other two are special Valentine's plaids that I invented (one of which is shown above.)

Like all my flannel shirts, these have no seams (except where you'd find seams on a real shirt) and they have a number of variations in the pack. New with these shirts is a variation with the shirt buttoned up, but untucked, which people have been asking for. (I plan to upgrade the older shirts, too, as time permits.)

Also new; the shirts are now Mod/Copy/No Transfer. So if you want to buy one for someone else, please use the Gift button on the vendor.

They were designed for Adult avatars, but kids can wear them too!

The untucked shirts are all on the Jacket layer (of course. I mean, they kind of have to be,) but the tucked in ones are on the Jacket, Shirt, and Undershirt layers, for maximum layering potential.

With all the variations, that comes to 10 different shirts in the pack, for only L$100.

In the vendors in the Robin (Sojourner) Wood AV Store at Livingtree (104, 128, 24) right now. Come take a look!

New Lucky Chair Prize!

The other thing that I was unable to post about was the new prize in the Lucky Chair!

It's been out for a little while now, but it's a new Kid's Sweater, in a Winterwhite colorway that's not for sale, so you can only get it from the Lucky Chair!

Come on down to Kick the Can at Livingtree (149, 130, 24) and try your luck!

Eyes!

Sorry about the break in blog posts. I was having trouble with my Web Site Provider, and was unable to add images to my site for a while. It didn't seem to make much sense to post without pictures, so I just haven't been posting.

So, since I last posted I've done seven pair of new eyes!

While I was at it, I also upgraded all the other eyes in the line, so that they appear even more luminous than they did before.

If you have an old pair and would like an upgrade, IM me and I'll check my records and drop one on you!

Valentine's Pinwheel now available!

Now out in my store is my Valentine's Pinwheel.

Pinwheel

A bit early for the season, but a lot of people liked it -- and I'll be at Camp HardKnock at the end of the month, so it's probably best I put this up now instead of later!

This pinwheel works like most of mine, providing animations that let you play in the wind while the pinwheel itself rotates. This one also has heart shaped particles flying off the pinwheel, adding just a bit more fun. It's transfer, and can make a great gift. My pinwheels work for both kid and adult avatars, too, so they're perfect for kids and kids at heart.

Probably no new products tomorrow from me: I'll be off doing RL stuff at MacWorld Expo.

Upgraded lamps!

I'm starting a week off form my real-life pursuits, and focusing a bit on some long-delayed projects within Second Life. First of them, and with a bit of help from Robin, my popular Girl's Room, Boy's Room, and Baby's Room lamps are now improved!

lamps

You can now click on the lamp to get the option of turning it off, on, or set it to "auto" to have it turn on by itself at sundown and off automatically every sunrise! Now you can always have light when you need it to scare away the monster in the closet!

Available at You Know, For Kids in Livingtree as well as the other locations for You Know For Kids products.

If you have a previous edition and wish to upgrade, contact me directly for an upgrade.

Oh, and here's me this week:

Jeans and Bears!

I'm still pretty sick, in spite of days on Keflex, so things are going slowly; but they are going!

I just finished putting 36 new pairs of Worn Jeans into the Robin (Sojourner) Wood AV Store at Livingtree (104, 128, 24).

Picture of Jeans, from 3 angles, with a bar showing the nine colors on the bottom

You can choose from nine colors of jeans, with four different thread colors for each. You can get a single pair, all the thread colors of a single jean color, or a "fat pack" with all the jean colors in a single thread color.

I think you'll like them, assuming that you want a pair of really "broken in" jeans. These have lots of details; "whiskers" on the front pockets, a ripped out knee, a small hole in the back, lots of worn patches and frayed seams, and scuffed up cuffs.

They are provided as both Pants and Underpants, to make layering as easy as possible, and are Mod/Copy/No Transfer, so you can make as many variations of length, looseness, and tint as you like!

The Bears are also finished now, and out in vendors at the main Kick the Can store, and all the other Kick the Can booths world-wide.

Come on down and take a look! (Or just visit Mari; she hasn't let the bear out of her hot little hand since I made the first test bear in November. :D Hugs, Mari!)

That's all from me for now. See you later!

Bears, More Bears, and Bears to Spare!

(The rhyme is Mari's, by the way, so don't blame me! :D )

I've been working on new stuffed bears, to replace the old ones basic prim ones. These are made with Sculpties, just like the Limited Sales Date Holiday Bear.

description

But, of course, these aren't limited, aren't the same color combination (the Honey bear has brown eyes, not green ones,) and they don't have hats and scarves.

Instead, these guys have color-changing bows. Just touch the bear, anyplace, and you can choose from a menu with eleven different colors, or choose to have "No Bow" (which is really transparent.) You can also make the bow an infinite range of colors, if you want, because these bears are Copy/Mod. But the menu is easier. :D

Like the Holiday bears, if you use Local Rotation, the arms, legs, and head move just the way they would on a real bear. (A real toy bear, I mean. Don't try to move the arms and legs on a real live bear; neither of you is likely to enjoy it.) This makes posing them a snap.

I have five colors of bears done now, and plan to take pictures and pop them into a vendor today sometime; so they should be out in the store and ready to buy late this evening, or early tomorrow.

I think you'll like them!

(And no, this isn't the thing that Mari was threatening to scowl about. That's way more complex, and isn't ready yet. :D )
